Dr. Metin ŞARDAĞ

Metin Sardag earned his BSc. and MA degree in Science Education from Balikesir University and PhD in Science Education from Hacettepe University.

 

After starting his PhD at Hacettepe University, he has involved in some national projects (e.g., Continuing Teacher Professional Development to Support the Teaching about Nature of Science) and international projects (e.g., Strategies for Assessment of Inquiry Learning in Science [SAILS] and Supporting Mathematics and science teachers in addressing diversity and promoting fundamental Values [MaSDiV]). In addition to these, he has involved in lots of STEM and Makers Fest / Expo which aim to bring together science and society since 2015 and he organized  and coordinated STEM & Makers Fest/Expo Van which was held at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University – Faculty of Engineering on December 7-8, 2019 in collaboration with Hacettepe University STEM & Maker Lab, U.S. Embassy Ankara, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University and Ministry of Education.

 

He was a member of the “Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST)” between 2016 and 2018. He is a member of “Hacettepe STEM & Makers Lab” and the vice-chairman of Turkish STEM Alliance. He is also an editor of public engagement with STEM bilimiletisimi.com/en and a science section editor on i3 Classroom LMS i3classroom.com.
